Date format

I know that it's only a little thing, but is it possible to change the date format display in the forum listings to European rather than American? It's one of those things that confuses me every time I see it! I mean having dd/mm/yyyy in place of mm/dd/yyyy. Given that the forum is largely Europe-centric, given the distribution of the boats, this seems reasonable to me.

Does anyone else have a view on this?

I'll try and change the date format across the whole website within the next week or so. The date does seem to be very inconsistent, so I'll change it to dd mm yyyy or 12 June 2010 everywhere.

I would go for ddmmyyyy.

If we really want our website to appeal to global Heard owners then an alternative is "June 8, 2010" then there is no confusion.

A fine idea! In any places where a more compact format is needed then a format along the lines of "8 Jun 2010" could be used.
