I would like to draw to your attention an amazing little tide programme. But of course you may have known about it for years!
It is an American programme and is free – no proper free with no hidden cookies. In fact you can run it from a flash drive or even a floppy disk. It is rather dated, with no bells or whistles. (Actually that’s not true – it rings ships bells on the hour and half hour.) The colours are a bit garish. It was originally written in Dos 6.1 I believe.
It will give you tides world wide in GMT or BST –your choice. Secondary ports can be added. Some Astro information is given . LAT can be shown and the draft of your vessel can be added giving you little flags of “no go times” A + curser runs along the tide line giving you the current time and depths and clicking on the line anywhere gives info for that time. Actual daylight hours are shown too.
I find it great fun and a valuable tool. Works up to year 2037 although I will not live to prove it.
