I have updated the Heard boat register, which you will find under the "Publications" tab, plus added another article under the "Articles" tab.

A Picarooner that SANK??!!! Hi Tim, do you know anything more about that? Did the boat have the old style "buoyancy" lockers, or was the conversion from some other early style of build? Not that any boat is ever unsinkable, but I've never heard of a Picarooner going to Davy Jones!

Hi Colin Just been looking through the register
Our Picarooner Picaroo is not on the register
Picaroo was oringinally built as a launch then converted c1990 to a cutter rigged sailing Picarooner by Peter Thelwell .
I believe this was his second converstion the first sank and was lost some where on the South coast. These boats obviously account for two of the launches, but which ones?
They were both converted with the knowledge of Gaffers and luggers who supplied the centre board case and plate.
Is there any way of identifying them, is there a build number anywhere on the hull?
regards
Tim
