Sally J

Sally J is a 28ft Falmouth Working boat and was built by Terry Heard in 1982.

• Displacement about eight and a half tons, of which five tons lead ballast.
• Working sail area (inc topsail) 650 sq ft
• Engine Bukh DV20 (18 HP]

Sally was originally built for racing and day sailing, with a small 2 berth cuddy and large cockpit. She was also fitted out to a much higher standard than usual with two pairs of self-tailing winches, a taller than standard mast, and all stainless deck fittings and standing rigging. We bought her in 1992, and gradually remodelled the cabin and cockpit to make her more comfortable for cruising. She is basically sound, a recent survey for the insurance found no defects, but is in need of some TLC and general maintenance.

Full inventory will be by agreement, but will include all the usual bits and pieces including GPS, VHF, Autohelm, etc.

She is currently in commission, in Milford Haven Marina.
